Sterculia pods are dried seed skin from the Sterculia foetida. It is a soft wooded tree that can grow up to 35 meters high. Common names for the plant are the mongrel poon tree, the java olive tree, wild almond tree and skunk tree, this is because of the strong smell of the tree. A great natural hiding spot for aquatic animals, reptiles or insects.
These pods are a long lasting botanical, additionally extra time is required for this item to water log even after boiling as they are very light.
